STEWARD AUTHORITY
You proved it works. Now build people who can prove it too.
In short: Steward Authority teaches a leader who has already proven the method to facilitate others through the same redesign, building the capability into insiders so it becomes how the whole organisation works, not something that travels through one person. Entry is by request.

In your corner of the organisation, something genuinely changed, and it held. People noticed. Other areas are starting to ask how, and that's not a problem to manage, that's an opening most leaders never get.

Right now, that eye for seeing what's actually broken, and the skill to fix it properly, lives in one person: you. Imagine it living in five. In ten. Every team lead who's ever watched someone struggle and couldn't tell if it was them or the work, finally able to answer that for themselves, because you're the one who taught them how to look.
Approximately 9–10 weeks · One live cohort · Three private coaching checkpoints · Lifetime facilitator toolkit
THE NEXT PROBLEM
Why doesn't good change spread on its own?
Good change doesn't spread by being good.

Every other area has its own pressures and its own reasons to keep doing things the way they always have. A win in your patch is, to them, a story about your patch, useful, maybe even admired, but not yet theirs. And the usual ways of trying to spread a method don't close that gap: hand out a badge and nothing transfers, bring in an outsider to recommend and leave and the change leaves with them. Both build dependence instead of capability. What actually spreads is the seeing itself, taught directly, by someone who's already done it for real.
WHAT IS STEWARD AUTHORITY?
Build it into the people who live with the work
A change becomes permanent the moment it stops needing you specifically to hold it up. That means developing other leaders until they see what you see, rather than borrowing your eyes for it, and handing the reinforcement to insiders inside each area, so it's lived, not visited. Your job stops being to run the change yourself. It becomes building people who can run it without you, which is a bigger job, and a better one.

This is the same capability that once meant delivering systems thinking sessions to over two hundred claims leaders, and running a measures workshop with seven claims vice presidents, so an entire function learned to see differently, not just one team.
What changes for you
For you
The thing you built stops depending on you, and that's not something to protect against, it's the actual win. You can move on, move up, step back, and it holds without you. That's the rarest thing a leader gets to leave behind: work that outlasts them.
For the leadersÂ
They stop waiting for permission or expertise to arrive from outside, and gain the standing that comes with being the person in their own area who can see it and change it. For the organisation, a pocket of good practice becomes how the place actually works, department by department, each proof point making the next one easier to build.
For your teams
Right now, change probably feels like something that happens to them, another initiative, another thing to get used to, another chance to carry the blame if it doesn't stick. Performance stops being theirs to carry alone. It becomes what the system is finally built to produce.
Performance is designed. People are developed. Legacy is earned.
What it actually is
You learn to facilitate, by doing it, taking a cohort of leaders through a real redesign while you hold the room. You come out able to develop other leaders, adapt the method to any area, and carry it across the organisation without carrying it alone. Built for the leader who's already proven it and is ready to build the same capability into others.
Where to start
This one starts with a conversation, not a checkout. Where it goes depends on your operation, how far the change has already travelled, and who's ready to carry it next. Tell us where you've proven it and where you want it to go, and we'll work out what building that in other leaders looks like for you.
This tier is built on Steward, the last of the Eight Practices, and on The Rope, so the capability stops depending on you. If you want the whole shape before you start, read the method →
Common Questions
In practice, yes, this builds on a redesign you've already proven holds. If you haven't run one yet, that's where to start.
No. It's a facilitation capability built by doing it, on a real cohort, in your own organisation, not a credential earned in the abstract.
A consultant can document what worked in your patch, but they can't sit inside every conversation in every other department, forever. What actually spreads is a leader in each area who can see it themselves, and that only gets built by someone who's already done it, working directly with the people who'll carry it, not written up and handed over.
AI can capture what you did. It can't teach someone to see a broken condition in their own team the way you learned to, that's a skill built by doing it, with someone watching and correcting you, not by reading a summary of someone else's redesign.
